FoS - Friends of Sudbrooke Roman Villa

*****Young persons Roman wallplaster group - We have applied for funding for interested young people (16 - 18) to work with us on our large collection of Roman wall plaster. Fingers crossed!****

Friends of Sudbrooke (Roman Villa) are a group of people from all walks of life who have been involved in the Roman Villa dig at Sudbrooke or who want to get some hands on experience of archaeology or may just want to offer support to the dig. This year (2011) we continued to dig part of a Roman  and Medieval site at Bishop Grosseteste University College. We are a relaxed friendly group whose members have a keen interest in all things archaeological. At the next AGM it is proposed that the name of the group is changed to be more representative of our activiites.

We meet regularly to process the finds from the excavations, for talks, workshops, trips and educational activities, and of course each year we participate in field work.
